It also explains choices that may be available to you regarding your information.

This policy is intended to describe our practices broadly. Additional notices may be presented at the point where information is collected, including disclosures specific to email or SMS marketing.

Where another Sense of Thai location collects information directly, the applicable affiliated operating entity may act as the business responsible for that information. Privacy requests may be submitted using the contact information in Section 14.

3. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

  • Contact and identity information, such as name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and other information you choose to provide.
  • Reservation and dining information, such as reservation details, dining preferences, visit history, party information, and related communications when available to us through our reservation or restaurant technology providers.
  • Marketing and consent information, such as email subscription status, SMS opt-in status, consent date/time and source, campaign engagement, and opt-out preferences.
  • Commercial and interaction information, such as offers viewed, events or experiences considered, and interactions with our websites, emails, text messages, advertisements, or promotions.
  • Device and online activity information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, clicks, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising identifiers, and similar analytics information.

We do not intentionally request sensitive identifiers such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or passport numbers through our website or marketing forms. Payment information associated with reservations or third-party services may be processed directly by the applicable service provider rather than by Sense of Thai.

  • From affiliated Sense of Thai entities when appropriate for the purpose for which the information was collected and consistent with your communication preferences.

5. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Provide and support reservations, restaurant services, events, promotions, and customer service.
  • Send email or SMS marketing when you have subscribed or otherwise provided the required consent.

6. EMAIL AND SMS MARKETING

Email and SMS are separate marketing channels and may require separate consent. Subscribing to email does not automatically enroll you in SMS marketing, and providing a mobile number for a reservation does not by itself constitute consent to receive promotional text messages.

If you opt in to SMS marketing, we may use your mobile number, consent records, and message interaction information to send promotional messages about Sense of Thai, including restaurant news, events, experiences, offers, and other marketing communications. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase.

You may opt out of SMS marketing at any time by replying STOP to a marketing text. You may opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails. We may retain limited information necessary to honor and document your opt-out request.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent data will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose such information to service providers and telecommunications partners as necessary to operate and deliver our messaging program, maintain consent and opt-out records, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, or legal requirements. When we update the policy, we will revise the Effective Date above and provide any additional notice required by law.

BUILD / IMPLEMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Publish at https://senseofthai.com/privacy-policy/ and add a persistent “Privacy Policy” link in the global website footer.
  • Use this Privacy Policy URL in Mailchimp account setup and the Mailchimp SMS application.
  • Link the Privacy Policy adjacent to all email/SMS signup forms and any form that collects personal information for marketing.
  • Preserve separate consent for email and SMS. Do not treat an email subscription, reservation phone number, or prior guest relationship as SMS marketing consent.
  • Configure website cookie/consent controls to match the analytics and advertising technologies actually deployed.
  • Confirm the business contact information and legal entity before publication; update if a different Sense of Thai entity is designated as the site-wide privacy contact.
  • Have legal counsel review before final publication, particularly the state-specific rights language and SMS disclosures.
